about this project

We were entrusted with the task of creating new traditional bespoke windows for a stunning property in Liverpool’s Sefton Park area. In addition to this, the project involved restoring the property's existing single-glazed windows by replicating them with double glazing, combining modern comfort with timeless aesthetics.

LOCATION & CONTEXT

Situated in the picturesque neighbourhood of Sefton Park, this domestic property stands as a testimony to historical architectural brilliance. The property's location within an Article 4 conservation area highlights its unique significance, with a listed status from the road.

BRIEF & CHALLENGES

The project presented our team with distinctive challenges due to its location in an Article 4 conservation area. This designation required careful adherence to planning regulations and architectural guidelines to preserve the property's heritage.

The restoration process was further complicated by the presence of large, delicate glass pieces that needed to be safely removed and disposed of without compromising the integrity of the property.

sOLUTION PROVIDED

To meet the project's intricate demands, we firstly planned the project out in great detail to ensure it’s successful completion. A team of four highly skilled craftsmen worked diligently for two weeks to execute the project with precision and care.

Before commencing any physical work, detailed drawings were thoughtfully prepared and submitted to the planning office. This step ensured that all proposed changes complied with the strict guidelines set forth by the Article 4 conservation area regulations.

The restoration of single-glazed windows involved an exact replication process, carefully crafting double-glazed replicas that retained the property's timeless charm while providing improved insulation and energy efficiency.

CONCLUSION

We successfully rejuvenated the Sefton Park Property, preserving its historical character while enhancing its functionality and energy efficiency. Through their craftsmanship and adherence to conservation area regulations, the team seamlessly blended tradition with modern comfort.

The property now stands as a beacon of architectural splendour in Sefton Park, reflecting the values of heritage preservation and embracing the best of contemporary advancements. A huge congratulations go out to our team who’s dedication to excellence and attention to detail has breathed new life into the property.
