Our approach is always to respect the architecture of your home. In doing so we need to not only understand what era of home you own, but also its age. For example, a 1480’s Tudor will have very different requirements from a more modern 1914’s Edwardian. This is why our first step is always to conduct an onsite survey.
In addition to understanding the age and style of your home, it will also allow us to assess potential access considerations or other factors that should be planned to make the process as disruption free as possible.
Our onsite survey also allows us to do any measuring up whilst allowing you to meet our team and ask any questions you might have.
Once we know the specifications of the project, we’ll begin devising you a quote for your bespoke sash windows.
We itemise all our quotes to provide full transparency but will always welcome any questions you might have.
If multiple options have been discussed during the survey, we will breakdown each solution whilst also providing our recommendation and rationale.
The final decision is yours however, and we never push you down a route you are not 100% happy with.
Once the quote is approved the job will be briefed into our workshop and timescales will be confirmed.
Typically, a sash window will take between 1 – 2 days to complete but depending on other projects in the studio, the complexity of your job, and the number of windows to manufacture it may take longer.
At this stage we’ll also agree on a day for fitting based around your schedule.
We can usually fit 2 - 4 sash windows in a day for a property depending on the team. If fitting is expected to take more than a day we will ensure any windows we start work on are completed that same day to ensure your home is secure each night.
We also take pride in our ‘white glove’ approach where our team ensures your home is left in the same state it was found in. This includes the removal of all old windows and a complete clean down of the area we have worked in, both in and outside the property.
